Allergan Biocell Device Withdrawal
On July 24, 2019, Allergan issued a voluntary withdrawal of its Biocell textured breast implants and tissue expanders. - It's important to note that the only implants affected are Allergan's Biocell textured implants and tissue expanders.
- Due to the low risk of developing BIA-ALCL, the FDA does NOT recommend having your implants removed unless you are experiencing symptoms, which include pain, lumps, swelling, fluid collections or unexpected changes in breast shape, including asymmetry.
