Your Consultation
Your consultation begins with a phone call or e-mail to my office in which you will be provided details regarding the specific procedure you are interested in. Information about the procedure will also be sent to you prior to your consultation. I encourage you to visit my web site www.drrohrich.com and research the procedure before your consultation. Many of your questions about the pre and post-op care and the informed consent of the procedure you desire can be answered there. I would suggest making a list of questions that you would like to discuss during our in-depth consultation. My goal is to delineate what your desires and goals are for a surgical procedure and how I can assist you to obtain those goals.
Facilities
I only operate in fully accredited surgical facilities and use board certified anesthesiologists for my operative procedure. The Dallas Day Surgery Center is an accredited out-patient surgical facility and has been in operation for over 20 years. It has an adjacent hotel with private rooms to maximize your care. All facilities provide not only a caring, compassionate and private environment but also optimal patient care in a safe environment.

Diabetes
RhinoplastyMember Response:
If you have well controlled Diabetes and have clearance from your primary care physician or endocrinologist, you certainly may have a rhinoplasty. Make sure you find a true rhinoplasty expert with the experience and expertise to manage your functional and cosmetic concerns as well. Rhinoplasty is the most challenging procedure done in Cosmetic Plastic surgery
Sharp Pointy Nose
RhinoplastyMember Response:
Rhinoplasty is the most challenging procedure in all of cosmetic surgery . Your nose which you describe which is thin and has a droopy tip certainly requires that your plastic surgeon is an expert in rhinoplasty to optimize your result. Of course, rhinoplasty is a safe operation when done by a board certified Plastic surgeon who operates in an accredited operating facility .
Columellaplasty
RhinoplastyMember Response:
This is not a simple procedure as it has several potential causes. It will usually require that you also do some alteration of your septum and your nasal tip. This is usually done with an open approach to rhinoplasty . Of course, one needs to see and examine you to fully access the cause and hence the treatment. Please see a board certified PS who has expertise in Rhinoplasty
Smoker
FaceliftMember Response:
The simple answer is NO!! The risk of operating on a smoker for a true facelift is too high. The undermining of skin and the layers in a real Facelift precludes me from offering to any such patient unless they stop smoking successfully for at least 4-6 weeks preop and hopefully will not resume post op!! The risks and complication rate in a smoker skyrocket especially in a facelift patient from skin loss to infections to pulmonary problems- Remember this is elective cosmetic surgery !!
Facelift with necklift
Arm LiftMember Response:
In most cases, it is optimal to perform a lower facelift with your neck lift especially if you have any jowling in your lower face. Otherwise, it will look very unnatural with an isolated neck lift. The key is to find a board certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in facial rejuvenation and who understand your desires for correction of your facial aging and does so in a natural manner. The best plastic surgery is when no one knows or thinks you had cosmetic surgery and this is ever so true when performing a facelift !!
